1- Assess welding processes suitable for high volume pipeline construction applications
2- Procure materials, conduct weldability assessments, and develop weld schedules
3- Operate manual, automated, and robotic welding cells and prototype welding equipment
4- Manufacture and tear down welds and characterize attributes per specifications
• Conduct non-destructive evaluation and destructive teardown of welded assemblies
5- Characterize mechanical and metallurgical properties of welded joints
6- Support plant trials, equipment life testing, and prototype builds
7- Assess welding process robustness to key manufacturing variables
8- Conduct welding trials to evaluate novel supplier welding capability
9- Performs sets up, operates and adjusts numerically controlled drilling and boring machines (with or without milling capabilities), grinding equipment or lathes to machine or smooth parts
10-Work from various instructions such as specifications, sketches, technical orders, blueprints and other written and verbal instructions within established methods and procedures
11-erform fusion welding, salt braze torch braze, plasma cutting, electric-arc, Heli- arc and acetylene welding processes
12-Ensure that all documentation including specifications, blueprints and applicable tools, gages and fixtures are quality compliant and traceable
13-Participate in audits of processes, procedures and work areas
14-Move parts and materials to designate locations in accordance with normal material flow procedures
15-Keep equipment and surroundings neat, clean and organized
16-Perform related duties as required within the scope and skill level of this job function
