A heavy equipment auto electrician maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs the electrical systems of heavy equipment. They work on vehicles like cranes, excavators, loaders, and generators.
Responsibilities -
Maintenance: Perform routine, preventive, and major repairs on electrical systems
Troubleshooting: Use diagnostic tools to identify issues with electrical systems
Repairing: Fix damaged electrical components and wiring
Wiring: Install and repair electrical wiring in control panels, generators, and other systems
Testing: Test vehicle lighting systems and other electrical components
Documentation: Create job reports and other paperwork, including inspection reports and breakdown reports
Safety: Follow safety standards and use personal protective equipment (PPE)
Training: Provide on-the-job training to junior technicians
Skills -
