Responsibilities -
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems, including transformers, circuit breakers, and fuses
Troubleshooting: Identify and fix faulty electrical parts, such as wires, sockets, and control panels
Installation: Install electrical equipment, such as conduit, fixtures, and control panels
Wiring: Measure, cut, and install electrical cables and conduit systems
Safety: Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
Communication: Interact with customers, other professionals, and designers
Documentation: Prepare reports, such as inspection, breakdown, and electrical test reports
Skills and qualifications -
Knowledge of electrical components, safety codes, and regulations
Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
Ability to use electrical tools, such as ammeters, voltmeters, and wire strippers
Physical fitness to lift heavy equipment and stand for long periods
