A QA/QC mechanical engineer ensures that mechanical products meet quality standards and requirements. They perform quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) activities throughout the product development process.
Responsibilities -
1. Quality assurance: Monitor the product development process to ensure quality requirements are met. This includes suggesting improvements and corrections.
2. Quality control: Inspect products for flaws and ensure they meet production standards. This includes reading blueprints and specifications, and measuring products with calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
3. Documentation: Prepare handover inspection and test documentation, and operation and maintenance manuals.
4. Coordination: Coordinate the commissioning of systems with other stakeholders.
5. Reporting: Issue non-conformance reports for any violations of project requirements.
6. Communication: Coordinate quality-related correspondence with customer representatives.
