A civil QA/QC engineer is responsible for ensuring that construction projects are completed on time, safely, and to high quality standards. They monitor the construction process, review materials, and ensure compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities -
1. Construction monitoring: Oversee construction activities like earthwork, piling, and foundation
2. Material inspection: Review certifications and reports for materials like structural steel and civil materials
3. Quality audits: Participate in audits conducted by the contractor and company
4. Regulatory compliance: Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
5. Quality assurance: Establish quality management systems that guide the project from planning to completion
6. Quality control: Identify defects in the quality of products and ensure they are corrected before causing serious problems
7. Communication: Report quality issues to senior QA/QC engineers and construction managers
8. Document control: Review and maintain quality plans, work instructions, and inspection and test plans
9. Business development: Assist with business planning and other company-driven efforts
