A QA/QC engineer in electrical and instrumentation (E&I) ensures that electrical and instrumentation systems are safe and reliable. They develop and implement quality control plans, inspect materials and equipment, and resolve quality issues.
Responsibilities -
1. Develop quality control plans - Create plans and procedures for quality control that cover all aspects of the project
2. Conduct inspections - Inspect materials, equipment, and construction activities to ensure they meet quality standards
3. Verify compliance - Ensure that the project complies with industry standards, codes, and regulations
4. Resolve quality issues - Identify and resolve quality issues during construction
5. Manage punch lists - Manage punch lists and close them out efficiently
6. Maintain records - Keep accurate records of inspections, testing, and quality-related documentation
7. Collaborate with teams - Work with project teams, contractors, and other engineers to ensure quality and safety
8. Participate in audits - Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with QA/QC processes
