Primary functions:
• Involved in developing/ maintaining and managing the Shutdown schedules from award to handover.
• Preparation of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for the shutdown.
• Plan the manpower resource skills needed for the shutdown at various stages and track their mobilization.
• Monitor the progress of resource mobilization (manpower, equipment and vendors and subcontractors), highlighted in case of delay.
• Preparation of Manpower, staff Histogram, progress reports and S Curve and updating as applicable.
• Ensure estimation assumptions are captured and implemented and ensure shutdown is executed on budget. Highlight any major deviation from budget to the management.
• Coordinate with the Shutdown team, procurement and other internal department to ensure that schedules are met.
• Interact with vendors and subcontractors with regard to scope, mobilization and progress.
• Plan and direct the execution lead, Area coordinators/Unit coordinators and follow up on the accuracy and promptness of physical progress reporting.
• Track materials are been ordered on time, monitor their arrival. Delay in material are promptly “flagged” and ensure compensatory action taken.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly progress reports.
• Track and record the sequence of delay events and guide execution team on priorities and rectification actions as applicable.
• Monitor actual progress against baseline schedule. Liaise with shutdown manager on deviances.
• Capable to draft Contractual letters.
• Disciplined Project Management capabilities with ability to manage multiple responsibilities at the same time.
• Interact with internal departments and management with regard to mobilization, project progress, cost booking and other planning and costing related issues in accordance with established procedures.
Qualifications/Experience:
• Engineering Degree in Mechanical
• Minimum of 6 years of experience Planning/Scheduling in the oil and gas industry.
Specific skills and knowledge:
• Strong correspondence capability in terms of contractual letters.
• Computer literate in MS office applications.
• Hands on experience in Project Planning packages like Primavera-6.8
• Ability to manage and analyze large volumes of quantitative data via databases and spreadsheets
