JOB OBJECTIVES: SUMMARY OF OVERALL JOB PURPOSE - Responsible to provide planning support to Trade Supervisor and carry out progress monitoring and assist with resource allocation and man-hour estimation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES -
Policies, processes & procedures:
• Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Follow and comply to information Security Rules and data security measures in order to protect the company information / intellectual properties.
Day-to-day operations:
• Coordinate with Project supervisors to prepare project progress tracking and reporting as directed by the Department Head.
• To monitor the progress achieved and the man-hours consumed and alert any potential overshoot of the target
• Analyse planning data and modify as required to achieve time based and resource limited based target scheduling.
• To produce soft and hardcopy output of programs in numeric / graphic form including reports, bar charts, histograms and ‘S’ curve to management / presentation.
• Preparation of monthly department performance, KSF / KPI reports and Management programmes
• Co-ordinate with the project Supervisor to provide work done reports, descriptions and field reports to Invoicers / Estimators to allocate budget as per the tariff ensure that commercial targets are met.
• Proactive participation in identifying errors and effective reporting through NCIR system
• Project trackers update, procurement follow up and site verifications.
• Attend training for activity required by the department.

taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and
productivity improvement.
Reporting - Prepare departmental reports on time and accurately to meet company and department requirements, policies
and standards.
Related Assignments: Perform other related duties or assignments as directed in order to contribute to the continuous operations of the
department.
Language skills:
• Fluent in English Language.
• Knowledge of other languages will be an added advantage.
• Very good knowledge in technical terms and report writing skills.
Technical competencies:
• Knowledge and Experience in ship repair and new building yard.
• Possess knowledge of MS office and Project Management skills.
• Ability to develop, interpret and follow method statements and procedures, specifications, drawings, and all other
discipline related project and engineering documentation.

Education - Diploma in electrical Engineering or equivalent. / Graduate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Training - Training in ship repairing and NB yard,
Technical Course or trained. / Offshore / Oil & Gas training
Experience - Minimum 5 years of experience as Marine Project Planner in New Building Shipyard. / 3 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably in a ship building, oil & gas or new building.
