JOB OBJECTIVES: SUMMARY OF OVERALL JOB PURPOSE - Responsible to assist in identifying the scope of work from owners specifications, work lists and on-board requirements. To liaise with Owners & Invoicers for estimation of job.

Policies, processes & procedures:
• Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Follow and comply to information Security Rules and data security measures in order to protect the company information / intellectual properties.

Day-to-day operations:
• Assist in Producing necessary sketches and instructions describing the work to be carried out.
• Assist in Estimating resource requirements and pre-planning.
• Assist inPreparing Work reports for Commercial Dept.
• Reporting Work progress and comparing with actual planning.
• Issuing Material requisitions.
• Assist in Maintaining and updating records of all relevant production documents.
• Assist in Maintaining and updating safety records of all equipment in EWS department.
• Assist in Raising Reject Notes and approving repair methods for rejected work.
• Exercise discipline at the work site to prevent absenteeism, unsafe work practices and idleness.
• Liaise with other discipline foremen / supervision to ensure the optimum utilization of available resources, with the overall objective of successful completion of the project.
• Create progress reports on a daily basis and ensure that any significant information is communicated to the supervisor i.e. resource shortfalls, surplus, HSEQ concerns.
• Ensure that the workers are properly supplied with machineries, tools, equipment and materials and everything is in proper order and state of maintenance.
• Follow the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.

controls and to behave in a manner, which ensures that their actions or omissions, do not adversely affect the

information / intellectual properties.
• Meeting all responsibilities as outlined in the DDW OHSMS.
• Participating in any training and safety initiatives implemented by the Company.
• Complying with all Safety directives, and work instructions.
• Immediately reporting any incident or potential hazard to their Supervisor or Safety Dept.
• STOP the task if you feel yourself or others may be harmed.

Continuous improvement - Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices
taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and
productivity improvement.

Reporting - Prepare departmental reports on time and accurately to meet company and department requirements, policies
and standards.

Related Assignments - Perform other related duties or assignments as directed in order to contribute to the continuous operations of the
department.

Language skills:
• Good knowledge of English languages.
• Knowledge of other languages will be an added advantage.
• Very good knowledge in technical terms and report writing skills.

Technical competencies:
• Familiar with electrical schematic diagrams & other related drawings.
• AutoCAD and Computer proficiency.
• Knowledge and Experience in ship repair and new building yard.
• Ability to read, interpret and follow method statements and procedures, specifications, drawings, and other
discipline related project and engineering documentation.

Education - Diploma in Electrical engineering or equivalent / Graduate in Electrical engineering or equivalent.
Training - AutoCAD 2000, Electrical drawings and diagrams / Off shore / Oil & Gas
Experience - 5 years in Shipyard / 7 years of experience in the Oil and Gas or ship building industry.
