JOB OBJECTIVES: SUMMARY OF OVERALL JOB PURPOSE - Responsible to Carry out rewinding and repair of electric motor/ generator according to repair process and given instructions to achieve required quality in a safe and timely manner as per DDWD standards in order to meet project targets.
Policies, processes & procedures:
• Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Follow and comply to information Security Rules and data security measures in order to protect the company information / intellectual properties.
Day-to-day operations:
• Read and make winding diagrams.
• Collect winding data and record on winding data sheet.
• Identify, detect and troubleshoot problems related to mechanical assembly and winding faults.
• Inspect, identify and repair damaged core.
• Read/use winding test / measuring equipment i.e. insulation, resistance, multi-meter, micrometer and Vernier caliper.
• Rewind three-phase and single-phase motor with round and flat wire.
• Rewind rotor with round and flat wire.
• Rewind high voltage motor with formed coils.
• Rewind small control and power transformers.
• Rewind magnetic, brake coils including fabricating bobbins and former.
• Rewind DC armature, inter pole and shunt winding.
• Braze, solder and crimp winding connection.
• Follow the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.

productivity improvement
Reporting - Prepare departmental reports on time and accurately to meet company and department requirements, policies
and standards.
Related Assignments - Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.
Language skills:
• Working knowledge of English languages.
• Knowledge of other languages will be an added advantage.
• Ability to understand spoken and written instruction.
Technical competencies:
• Understanding technical drawings, plans and data.
• Knowledge in various types of staging materials. i.e. Haki, Cuplock, Tube & Coupler.
• Good math skills for calculating measurements when building scaffolds.

Education - Secondary school / High school & above
Training - Rewinding training/course.
Reading and understanding electro-mechanical drawings and symbols.
Ability to write simple correspondence and to effectively present work related information to their immediate supervisor and subordinates as necessary.
Experience - Three (3) years of work experience in motor repair shop in relevant position. / Have Five (5) years of work experience in motor repair shop in relevant position.
