Job Objective: To assist in managing and maintaining the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, databases, network systems, cybersecurity, and user support, ensuring business continuity and system reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Server and Database Management
• Assist in the administration and maintenance of on-premise and virtual servers (Windows/Linux).
• Monitor server performance and key services such as DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory.
• Perform regular backups for databases and critical systems using approved backup solutions.
• Support data recovery operations when necessary.
2. Cybersecurity and Firewall Management
• Apply security best practices across systems and networks.
• Monitor and maintain firewall configurations and alerts.
• Ensure regular updates for antivirus and operating systems.
• Coordinate with the team to strengthen protection against cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
3. Network and Communications
• Maintain LAN infrastructure and connectivity across different departments and buildings.
• Troubleshoot network-related issues such as disconnections or slow performance.
• Support the configuration and maintenance of networking devices (switches, routers, access points).
4. Technical and Operational Support
• Receive and resolve technical support requests related to hardware, software, printing, email, and network access.
• Install and configure operating systems and office applications for users.
• Document and follow up on technical incidents, providing clear and timely communication with end-users.
5. Documentation and Reporting
• Maintain up-to-date documentation for IT infrastructure including network diagrams, device inventory, and administrative credentials.
• Record support activities and generate periodic reports on performance, issues, and trends.
• Assist in managing IT assets and software licenses.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience: 2 to 4 years in an IT role involving networks, servers, or systems support.
• Technical Skills:
o Proficiency with Windows Server and networking fundamentals (IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
o Hands-on experience with firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Sophos).
o Basic knowledge of database systems (SQL Server, MySQL).
o Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
o Awareness of cybersecurity practices and antivirus solutions.
