Key Responsibilities:
Installation:
Measuring, cutting, and fitting gypsum boards to walls, ceilings, and partitions. This often involves securing the boards to metal or wooden studs using screws or nails.
Joint Treatment:
Applying tape and joint compound to seams and screw holes, sanding the surface to create a smooth, seamless finish ready for painting or other treatments.
Finishing:
Smoothing and preparing surfaces for painting or other decorative finishes, which may include applying skim coats, texture, or specialized finishes.
Repair and Patching:
Repairing damaged drywall, replacing sections, and ensuring seamless integration with existing surfaces.
Material Handling:
Handling tools, equipment, and materials responsibly, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and managing inventory.
Safety Compliance:
Following safety guidelines and procedures, reporting hazards, and ensuring a safe work environment.
Collaboration:
Working with other tradespeople (painters, carpenters, electricians) to ensure smooth project completion.
Reading Plans:
