The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for leading and overseeing offshore operations onboard a DSV or construction vessel during their assigned shift, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of subsea operations, and coordinating with various offshore departments to meet operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise offshore personnel on shift, including divers, ROV operators, and other subsea specialists.
- Oversee daily vessel operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and effective execution of project tasks.
- Ensure operations are conducted in accordance with company policies, procedures, and offshore safety regulations.
- Coordinate and communicate with offshore departments (e.g., dive, ROV, construction) and onshore support to ensure smooth operations and resolve issues.
- Monitor and manage the performance of equipment, such as diving systems, ROVs, and other offshore machinery.
- Lead safety inspections, audits, and toolbox talks to promote a safe working environment onboard the vessel.
- Handle operational issues and make decisions to minimize downtime or delays.
- Report daily operations, incidents, or safety concerns to senior management and relevant offshore teams.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental guidelines during offshore operations.
- Provide leadership during emergency response situations and assist with evacuation protocols if necessary.
- Mentor and train offshore team members, improving skill sets and operational performance.
