Key Responsibilities:
Supervising and Coordinating Operations:
Overseeing the daily activities of hydrojetting crews, ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently according to project requirements.
Equipment Management:
Ensuring proper functioning of hydrojetting equipment, performing routine checks, maintenance, and minor repairs.
Safety Compliance:
Enforcing safety protocols, conducting safety briefings, and ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Documentation and Reporting:
Preparing job plans, risk assessments, and method statements, maintaining records of machine servicing and breakdowns, and providing reports to relevant parties.
Training and Mentoring:
Training and mentoring hydrojetting technicians and operators, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Client and Project Coordination:
Coordinating with clients, engineers, and site managers to plan and execute hydrojetting projects effectively.
Inventory Management:
Maintaining an inventory of equipment, tools, and cleaning agents.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
In-depth knowledge of hydrojetting equipment:
Understanding various types of equipment, nozzles, and their applications.
Experience with high-pressure water jetting:
Proven experience in operating and overseeing the use of high-pressure water jetting equipment (typically 10,000-40,000 PSI).
Strong mechanical aptitude:
Ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on hydrojetting equipment.
Safety knowledge and experience:
Familiarity with safety standards, PPE requirements, and risk assessment procedures.
Leadership and communication skills:
Ability to effectively lead and motivate a team, communicate with clients and other stakeholders, and prepare clear and concise documentation.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills:
Ability to troubleshoot issues, make informed decisions, and ensure smooth project execution.
Experience in the oil and gas sector (preferred):
Experience in hydrojetting operations within the oil and gas industry, including shutdowns and turnarounds, is often preferred.
Relevant educational background:
A diploma or degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is often required.
