• Installing machinery and equipment and performing maintenance activities.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubrication, adjustments, and replacements of parts.
• Identify and diagnose problems with machinery and equipment, using technical knowledge and diagnostic tools.
• Repair and replace broken or worn-out parts, using various tools and techniques.
• Align machinery and equipment, ensuring proper operation and minimizing wear.
• Work with other tradespeople, such as electricians and mechanics, to complete tasks.
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to other personnel.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment (e.g., laser alignment, dial gauges and special tools).
• Familiarity with welding and fabrication techniques.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
• Willingness to work at heights, in cramped areas, and in extreme temperatures.
• Good physical stamina and endurance.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and laser alignment tools to ensure equipment is installed and maintained to exact specifications.
• Mentor and train junior millwrights or other maintenance staff on best practices and technical procedures.
