Job Description:
A pipefitter installs, maintains, and repairs high-pressure pipe systems for fluids and gases, working from blueprints to assemble and secure pipes, tubes, and fittings using tools like saws, torches, and welding equipment. Key responsibilities include cutting, threading, and bending pipes; testing the systems for leaks and pressure; and performing regular maintenance and repairs on industrial and commercial mechanical systems. Safety adherence is critical, and pipefitters must be able to read technical drawings and work in various, sometimes challenging, environments.
