A Work Permit Receiver (WPR) ensures a job is done safely by verifying the permit, inspecting the work site for hazards (like gas, isolation/LOTO), briefing the crew on risks and PPE, supervising ongoing work for compliance, stopping work if unsafe conditions arise, and properly closing the permit after completion. Key duties include understanding the permit's scope, ensuring proper PPE and isolation, maintaining communication with the issuer, and ensuring the work area is returned to a safe state.
