HVAC Engineer in the Operation and Maintenance of Central A/C Plants (water cooled chillers), air handling units and FCU.
Key duties:
• Design HVAC and refrigeration systems for commercial, light industrial, institutional and residential facilities.
• Inspect and analyze existing systems, determine condition of existing systems, and verify operating parameters for accuracy. Perform tests and troubleshoot existing systems. Recommend changes to the systems in order to ensure performance.
• Prepare air distribution ducting plans and detailed HVAC installation drawings for development by a draftsman.
• Identify standard details and develop new details as required.
• Use computer-based programs in order to calculate heat loads and solve engineering problems as required.
• Review HVAC related design packages and provide comments.
• Review HVAC plans and detailed drawings prepared by the design consultant to identify necessary design changes complying with respective standards.
• Review material take offs and cost estimates for the work as applicable.
• Participate in HVAC commissioning activities, conduct walkthroughs and prepare exception item lists.
• Carry knowledge of HVAC instrumentation, electrical and controls. DDC knowledge will be a plus
