LV Electrical Engineer in the Operation and Maintenance of low voltage systems.
Key duties:
• Design low voltage systems for commercial, light industrial, and institutional facilities.
• Prepare low voltage layouts, single line diagrams, and detailed electrical installation drawings for development by a draftsman.
• Use computer-based programs in order to conduct lighting calculations, load calculations, cable sizing and voltage drop and solve engineering problems as required.
• Review Electrical plans and detailed drawings prepared by the design consultant to identify necessary design changes complying with respective standards.
• Review material take offs and cost estimates for the work as applicable.
• Review maintenance strategies and plans for 400V switchgears, transformers, generators, distribution boards, Motor Control Centers, lighting panels, central battery system, and LV feeders, etc...
• Competent in analyzing electrical reports, including but not limited to, thermal imaging tests and insulation resistance to determine the condition of existing low voltage equipment and recommending changes to the systems in order to ensure satisfactory performance.
• Experienced in protection devices selectivity and be able to review TCC curves and decide on the right relays and breakers settings.
• Aware of LOTO procedure and ensure the safety of working staff.
