Follow plant safety standards and procedures. Be familiar with typical petrochemical plant safety hazards.
Follow standard maintenance procedures.
Follow manufacturer's troubleshooting and maintenance procedures.
Use and care for test and calibration equipment.
Implement good housekeeping practices.
Troubleshoot and repair Process Gas Chromatographs (FID and TC).
Troubleshoot and repair analyzer sample systems.
Troubleshoot and repair online analytical equipment - conductivity, pH, Gas Detectors, dew point etc.
Maintain carrier and standard gas systems.
Overhaul sample valves and other analyzer equipment.
Read and use P&ID, Loop, Logic and Electrical drawings.
Follow ISO procedural requirements for calibration and record keeping.
Program analyzers for sample times, stream select etc.
Perform daily plant preventive maintenance procedures.
Install and modify sample systems and tubing.
Install and commission new analyzers.
Work as a team member with operations, technical, and maintenance.
In addition to his normal jobs, he should assist and participate in other maintenance activities.
Improve instrument reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
Participate in company safety and training programs.
Work as Instrument Technician as & when required.
Train subordinates & coworkers.
Report on work progress & maintenance activities.
