Role – Transport Manager/Section Head
Job Description:
• Manage, supervise, and coordinate the work within the department and suppliers.
• Experience working on multidisciplinary transport projects of high complexity and a working knowledge of the local environment, Industrial services, particularly working in Middle East.
• Negotiate transport or logistics rates with suppliers and customers to improve the operation.
• Experience in handling multiple sites and operations management.
• Preparing bids, tenders, planning, estimation, and client reporting.
• Analyze areas of corporate logistics/transportation to find out the most cost-effective means or method of transportation.
• Tracks and analyzes logistics/supply data to determine the effectiveness of various logistics/supply management indicators.
• Evaluate and Monitor the entire process of movement. Track shipments across different channels.
• Conducts studies and analysis of transport/logistics related issues, determining the trade- off and cost effectiveness of alternative courses of action to assist in and enhance the decision-making process.
• Assesses and makes recommendations, as appropriate, on the feasibility of automation of various aspects of transport/logistics support.
• Monitoring costing, operations profitability of projects with quality and Safety standards.
• Prepares correspondence on daily basis on a variety of transport/logistics related issues as may be required.
• Experienced in handling power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, forklift, APU, etc.
• Working with major clients in middle east.
Experience And Qualifications
• Bachelor's/master’s degree in supply chain or any relate field.
• Fluency in English and other India languages.
• Total 15+ years of relevant experience working in the Industrial Services. Min 5+ years’ experience for managerial position.
• Total 7 to 8 yrs experience for Supervisory position.
• Proven track record of managing large team.
• The ability to multitask and prioritize your workload
• The ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English is essential.
• Ability to present complex information to diverse audiences, both verbally and graphically
• Preparing and presenting feasibility reports and design proposals.
• Specifying the nature and quality of materials required.
• Knowledge of computers and basic software applications such as: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
